How soon do you need to know our music choices?
Ideally I'd love to know at least a month out from your wedding. If there are songs you would like me to learn for your ceremony, then naturally the sooner I know the better.
How many songs do we need to choose for our civil ceremony?
At the very least you need 3. The bridal entrance, for the signing of the register and the exit. However please add as much music as you like to you ceremony. This is your day. Where else will be suitable for music will depend on how you and your celebrant are designing your ceremony. It might be nice to have a reflection piece after you exchange your vows and rings. Or perhaps during a hand fasting or sand ceremony.
How many songs do we need for our church ceremony?
Here are the places in your church ceremony for music: Bridal Entrance, Psalm, Marriage Candle, Offertory, Sign of Peace, Communion x2, Register x 1-2, Recessional/Exit
Do we need to hire accompaniment?
Great question. No. I accompany myself on guitar and piano. I also have a range of high quality backing tracks for songs that require a fuller sound.
Do we need to arrange a sound system?
Thanks for asking! No I have my own professional speaker system that I engineer myself.
We would love if our relative could sing a song too, could this be arranged?
Absolutley! It's best to use a backing track for this to avoid any unfamiliarity for your relative. I can play this through my speaker system and he or she can use my microphone on the day. They can have a practice run through it before the ceremony starts.
When will you arrive at the venue?
I always aim to arrive 60-90 minutes before the cermony start time. This is to allow time to set up my equipment and warm up my voice.
Do you provide drinks reception music?
Yes, I can add drinks reception music to your booking. I play for about 2 hours using my guitar as accompaniment. You can see a sample set list here.
How much do you charge?
My prices start from €350.
